John Edwards
Now here's a question that's been bugging me ever since Kerry started this whole "I served in Vietnam therefore I'm better equipped to be President" nonsense: what makes Kerry think John Edwards
, whose never served a second of his life in any military capacity, would make a good Vice President? I mean let's face facts here: especially in these post 9-11 times we live in, the possibility (God forbid) of a presidential assassination is very real and should be a contingency that should be planned for. The Vice President needs to be capable of stepping in and serving the role of President at a moments notice. Cheney at least has the experience of serving as Secretary of Defense. What's Edwards claim to fame? He served on the committee that investigated 9-11 and prior to that, he sued some people. What in Edwards background should give me the comfort of feeling that he would make a good President in a time of crisis? What's he gonna do? Sue the terrorists into submission?
