Potential Issue: Tag Spam

Thought: let's say some spammer get's it in their mind to fill a webpage with thousands of Technorati Tag links. The ping technorati. Technorati indexes the page. What happens?

Expand the thought... what if the spammer takes hundreds of pages, fills them with thousands of tag links generated automatically from dictionary word lists then pings Technorati? What if a whole bunch of spammers start doing this?

I wonder if Technorati's infrastructure is designed to withstand such an attack? Tag Spam could kill the tagging revolution if allowed to fester. Google's nofollow wouldn't solve the problem because (I would think) you'd want to be able to index tag pages.
