Feed Thread Extension approved as a Proposed Standard

I’m happy to report that the IESG has approved the Atom Threading Extension as a Proposed Standard. It’s now in the RFC Editor queue awaiting final edits and it’s very own RFC number.

Support for Feed Thread has been added to Abdera.

Do you have some pointers to posts or articles about ideas for usage, background, etc. of this proposed extension standard?

This is fantastic, James. Had I been paying attention I definitely would have tried to get involved as you were developing it.

I have been working out ideas on how to use Atom in the context of messaging, and this extension is some of the glue that needs to exist. Had you not drafted this then I would definitely have had to take a stab at it myself.

But as it stands, you not only beat me to it, but did a great job. Very nicely done!
